Our Biggest Surprise Ever....almost!!!

We had a trip to DisneyLand planned for a few weeks, we didn't want to tell the kids because we knew we would get the questions for weeks, "when are we going?", "how many more days?" and "can we load up the car yet?" I wanted a creative way to tell them, so I went to the Disney store and got them each a shirt. At home I wrapped them up cute and placed them out of little eyes range. The friday before we were to leave, (leaving midnight on sunday) we let them open thier bags, that way they could tell thier friends at school! As they were opening Lakota had the idea in her head that we were telling them that Daddy and I were pregnant and the shirts were to tell them what we were having......well she was both happy for the trip but also sad we were NOT having a baby, twins in her case :)
With only one day left to pack, and excitment running around we were all ready to go, for it was all our first time going to Disney Land.

This is how our summer went!!!

Boating, boating and even more boating!! Every spare moment we had, we were out on the lake. The kids loved to jump and dive off the back of the boat. As for Mark and I, we both learned how to wake board!! Super fun!! When we could, we invited what ever family and friends who could go, most of the time, even for us it was a last minute notice! So we were very grateful for all who came to spend time with us and the kids!!! Summer for us was a BLAST!!

Cow Boy Up!

Once school is over the count down till Pleasant Grove Strawberries days is on! Every year we make it to the carnival, the rode and the parade! This year was no exception! We did it all. Scott and Jenn joined us at the rodeo and as you can tell the kids could not get enough of them. As with every year the kids pull together their clothes to come up with the best cowboy outfits they can. With a quick run to the store for hats, we were ready to go. With all this excitement who couldn't have fun? Food, treats, laughter and of course bull riding. I'm pretty sure by all the smiles on their faces, they all had a memorable time! Till next year...

Dance, Dance,Dance!

Addison's dance studio did a mini production of the toy story movie. Addison's age group danced as the little piggies. It was so fun to see her get dressed up with make up and curls in her hair. We were lucky to have 3 other girls in the class that we are friends with; Olivia, Shiloh and Maddie. Her teacher was Miss. Valarie was a friend that I went to high school with, for fun!!! The piggies dance was a combo of ballet and jazz. The girls also performed a tap dance, Addi calls her shoes the tap-taps! cute! She had a lot of fun and is looking forward to next year, along with Lakota and Makayla too!!!

After school campout

The week end school let out we went on a camp out with some friends in our ward, the Bechets. We went up by Strawberry where it was still cold and snowy. Mark and I were able to take a new trailer, (new to us) and a side by side to ride around in. All weekend this is all we heard from the kids, Can you take me on a ride? Ha! All the girlie's had fun and not to mention the boys!Lakota and Makayla had fun taking all the little ones on hikes to the nearby hills. As for us mom and dad's, adult conversation was much needed. Melanie and Harold are so sweet to letting us tag along. Harold has an obsession with having to have the biggest campfire then the next group, needless to say I think the stars could see us. It was so fun to have the kids play, roast marshmallows, paint fingers, play games and of course go for a ride!

This sucks! Oh by the way......

Happy 11th anniversary to Mark and I!!! While on a mini getaway to salt lake, (then onto lagoon!!) we received a call from Mark's brother telling us that his tow truck (marks) was set on fire!?!?! 6 weeks prior a guy set his own car on fire because his was mad that Mark towed it then gained it as his payment. After receiving threatening phone calls about his tow truck and the house mark went ahead and upped all the insurance coverage. Good thing he did cause 3 am while at a hotel in SLC, this is what went up in flames!!

It's toast!! what to do? Insurance will come into play but who knows how long it will take. Meanwhile Mark is looking for a new truck. This has been a big eye opener that things you hold dear, like a job, can go up in flames at any time! We have taken all actions to now protect our home and our 5 little ones. Things will get better and we are relying on the lord more then ever! Some how, some where there lies a blessing for us, Mark thinks its a new and bigger truck, HAHAHA!!!!

The start of their Journey!

May 19, 2011! The start of their Eternal life together, Scott and Jenn Leatham. What an amazing day, sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City temple, their journey begins. Although it rained during the pictures at the temple the day still turned out to be full of smiles and giggles. Jenn chose such amazing flowers for her big day, I was awe struck! Scott could have not chosen a better companion. Jenn is stunningly beautiful and fun loving. Jenn's bridal pictures were on display and were so sweet, Scott did wonderfully, like always behind the camera!! The reception we full of beautiful, large flower arrangements that Jenn's mom put together.( she is very talented!!) Lots of kisses, cake and bubbles and the new happy couple are off on their new adventures!! Congratulations to Scott and Jenn! We are so glad to have been apart of your special day!! love you guys!!

From that to THIS!

Before

During- addi wanted to help too!

Addison's room is starting to come along well! I ordered the wall decal off of eBay! Now I am starting to think of what I can do in Lakota and makayla's room, oh the possibilities!

After- I'm so amazed at how it turned out! 20 bucks and lot of rubbing and a room transformed, too cute.
