Las Vegas....

On the way home from Disneyland we stayed a night in Vegas. The kids loved how hot it was and that they got the hotel pool and hot tub to themselves! Boston was in and out of both and the older kids loved playing tag with their dad! what a great way to end our trip.

Makayla turns 9!

Well since we had such a big week before Makayla's birthday,(Disneyland) we didn't do any thing huge! Mark always checks the kids out of school for lunch, this is quickly becoming the thing they talk about the most!! We took her birthday shopping which she always has a hard time picking any thing! cake and ice cream and a quick birthday came and went. Happy Birthday to our little Kayla Bug!

days 1,2,3 and 4!

Disneyland and California adventures days 1 and 2 where spent doing every ride we could! Our favorites are, the nemo ride, buzz light year, star wars, toy story mania and the tower of terror! I think the kids rode the buzz light year ride at least 5 times and the tower of terror about 8. Payton got to participate in the star wars light saber training. One other thing the older girls loved to do was get the characters to sign their book! The night in California adventure we went and saw the World Of Colors! It was beyond amazing, bright bold colors set to music of many Disney songs! Very cool!!! At the end of each day the kids were all exhausted! Day 3 was spent at the beach, no matter how gray it was they all got in the water! Mark and I spent the day digging in the sad, Mark even buried boson!! Day 4 Was our last day in Disneyland. Rides, rides and more rides! That night we stayed and watched the parade! Amazing fun!

Our Biggest Surprise Ever....almost!!!

We had a trip to DisneyLand planned for a few weeks, we didn't want to tell the kids because we knew we would get the questions for weeks, "when are we going?", "how many more days?" and "can we load up the car yet?" I wanted a creative way to tell them, so I went to the Disney store and got them each a shirt. At home I wrapped them up cute and placed them out of little eyes range. The friday before we were to leave, (leaving midnight on sunday) we let them open thier bags, that way they could tell thier friends at school! As they were opening Lakota had the idea in her head that we were telling them that Daddy and I were pregnant and the shirts were to tell them what we were having......well she was both happy for the trip but also sad we were NOT having a baby, twins in her case :)
With only one day left to pack, and excitment running around we were all ready to go, for it was all our first time going to Disney Land.

This is how our summer went!!!

Boating, boating and even more boating!! Every spare moment we had, we were out on the lake. The kids loved to jump and dive off the back of the boat. As for Mark and I, we both learned how to wake board!! Super fun!! When we could, we invited what ever family and friends who could go, most of the time, even for us it was a last minute notice! So we were very grateful for all who came to spend time with us and the kids!!! Summer for us was a BLAST!!
